Welcome to Tim Bobbin Hotel

The Tim Bobbin Hotel, situated at 319 Padiham Rd in Burnley, United Kingdom, offers a welcome blend of traditional charm and comfortable hospitality. With a solid 4-star rating, this Sam Smith’s pub stands out for its inviting atmosphere, friendly staff, and attention to detail that makes every visit enjoyable.

Guests often praise the hotel for its cozy environment—highlighted by an open flame fire in winter and a pleasant beer garden during summer months. The interiors showcase classic decor with thoughtfully designed private rooms, creating an ambiance that feels both intimate and timeless. These features reflect a successful recent renovation that has refreshed the space while retaining its authentic character.

Food lovers will appreciate the well-prepared home-cooked meals, including classic pub favorites such as fish and chips with mushy peas or generous portions of gammon. The pub’s menu caters to groups and families alike, with ample space and a dog- and child-friendly approach that enhances its appeal as a community hub. Reasonably priced, the bar serves a selection of traditional Sam Smith’s beers and ales, catering to both casual drinkers and enthusiasts seeking quality brews.

While the Tim Bobbin Hotel values simplicity—eschewing music, TV, and even enforcing a no-swearing policy—it creates a unique space for genuine conversation and relaxation. One small drawback noted by patrons is the cash-only policy, coupled with inconvenient ATM fees nearby, which slightly mars an otherwise seamless experience. Introducing card payments could elevate the convenience significantly.

Free Wi-Fi, a smoke-free environment, and a solid location for visitors interested in Burnley’s sights and recreation further amplify the hotel’s appeal. Ultimately, Tim Bobbin Hotel stands as a quietly confident establishment where tradition meets comfort. It invites guests to slow down, savor good food and drink, and enjoy genuine, unpretentious hospitality.

Sam Smith pub. Not a bad pint, possibly banning mobile phone use soon. Fire in winter, beer garden for summer. No swearing policy. No music/TV. Decent prices on food.

Visited on November 18th at lunchtime. I had fish and chips and mushy peas and hubby had the gammon. Both meals were well presented and good to eat.We had a quiet lunch sat by the window watching the world go by. An open fire in the room made it cosy.

Nice clean and atmospheric. Not your traditional beers you would get elsewhere, however what they have is good value. Staff always friendly. Only downside is that it's CASH only - and the cash machine outside charges exorbitant prices to withdraw your money. Hence the 4 stars. If they got a contact less card machine it would pay for itself.

Sam smiths pub, if you love a cheap pint of lager which is always a great lively drink or ale here's your place. Open flame fire and comfy seating. Give it a go.

Recently renovated, excellent traditional decor love that you have lots of little private rooms. Drinks prices are reasonable. They didn't serve food after the renovation, but I believe that has now changed and they offer home cooked food
